087/ 16 / 08: The Apophenion: a chaos magick paradigm

Peter J. Carroll-Aclaimed author of such works as 'Liber Null and the Psychonaut-an introduction to Chaos Magic' and 'Liber Kaos' marks his latest book-'The Apophenion'-with the piece 'Gods and Monsters' on the cover.

Apophenion attacks most of the great questions of being, free will, consciousness, meaning, the nature of mind, and humanity's place in the cosmos, from a magical perspective. Some of the conclusions seem to challenge many of the deeply held assumptions that our culture has taught us, so brace yourself for the paradigm crash and look for the jewels revealed in the wreckage. This book contains something to offend everyone; enough science to upset the magicians, enough magic to upset the scientists, and enough blasphemy to upset most trancendentalists.

Available now through Amazon for just $23.00

04/ 06 / 08: New work-Nature of a fragile mind

Begun originally in August of 2007, this surreal painting went through about five incarnations, before it evolved into the piece you see here.

The word 'mind' evokes something which is an attentive supervisor, or a nanny for our impulses, and I wanted to explore the state then, of being absent minded-that which becomes detached and seperate from the process of thinking-symbolised here by a fragile egg, taking flight from a rooted muse.

Called 'Nature of the Fragile Mind', I feel this is one of my strongest works to date.

02 / 01 / 08: First Work of 2008:-Axiom

Hello everyone, I hope you had a wonderful start to the New Year.
I thought I'd start by sharing with you all my latest-and what I feel is-my greatest and most powerful work to date.

With extreme almost medieval, religious fervour at the forefront of the political world stage, and the electoral ambiguity of church/state seemingly interchangeable and undistiguishable, its very much a contemplation on what I feel is the true face behind the facade of religious dogma.

Taking three months to complete, its entitled 'Theothantos III-Axiom' and painted oil on a 24" x 36" canvas, its available in three print formats Here
