face forward...

The old ship davidgoughart, has long been overdue a facelift, and so rather than an injection of digital botox, we figured we'd start 2008 early by chiselling ourselves a completely new one.
Regular visitors will notice several things... firstly-' where has all the old art gone?'
As you know, its always been our goal to look forward rather than backwards, and as the direction of my creative interests evolves, so will the content-this is our best foot forward, both artistically and in design-so no padding.
What there is now however, is a much more seamless, focused and streamlined series of galleries. Leading off with the new stuff.

There are also 3 different print formats available- 8" x 11", 11" x17" and 16" x 20", as well as notecards and bookmarks in the merchandise section, which will be expanding to include lots of new exciting products featuring my work (see below)..

The biography too, has been extensively revised, there is a regularly updated blog, and my wife Lani even has her own page too, but don't take our word for it, check it out for yourself.

Exclusive: Goughic statues.

Although they officially shalln't become available until Spring of 08, we thought we'd let you get a sneak peek of this exciting new range of figurines, exclusively here first.
Based on the Urban Fairie pieces- Destiny, Discovery and Stormchasers-and with more pieces possibly to come-these resin statuettes are around 6" tall, and I have it on good authority that they should be going into production in January.

Of course, you will be the first to know, as soon as they become available, so keep a space on your shelves open.

Working on the new site, I feel like I've been living sealed away in a tupperware box for the past month.
Starved of natural light and peering through pinhole eyes at my monitor, I couldn't tell you if I was high on fumes from the Santa-ana fires, or just tired of wearing the same old overcoat, but I decided I'd forge ahead regardless.

That doesn't mean I've been negelecting my other duties, the beginnings of which you can peek at on my bio. This being the season of christingle, and with several of the primaries on tv, extolling church with state, until you can no longer distinguish one from ther other, my new series couldn't resonate more aptly, particularly with the run up to the 08 elections.

It promises to be an interesting year ahead at any rate, with plenty of new art to challenge and hopefully delight in, leaving me with just enough room to wish you and yours,a very Happy Holidays.

Cheers Everyone
